How To Create Ad Hoc Network in Windows 8

Hello guys,
I am Ashish Mishra from New Delhi, India
From Today or you can say just now I am starting to share my ideas related to Technology and also the Solutions of the issues that I have faced.

So, my first post is related to the networking and I will tel you all about the Ad Hoc Network that means its creation, use and difficulties in earlier versions of Windows such as Windows 8. Ad Hoc Network is used for sharing your internet connection to your room partners or friends. By the use of this you can access the internet in more then one systems with a single modem or a single LAN connection.

I have already experienced that in windows 7 it is very easy to create an Ad Hoc Network but in Windows 8 there is no any option to create an Ad Hoc Network directly.

Now there are the steps for creating the Ad Hoc Network in Windows 8-

Step1- Go to the right down side of  your desktop and search cmd in the search box

Step2- Right click on the cmd and select open as administrator (because you need the admin privilege for doing this task )
Step3- When you will perform above two
steps then you will see the screen like this.....

Step4- Now you will have to type the below mention command and replace <network name> to your desired name and <password> accordingly.

netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=<network name> key=<password>

after you entering this command and press enter you will see the cmd look like this...

Step5- After doing above steps your Ad Hoc Network has been created and you will have to start your network to use it.

for starting your network you have to type the below mention command..

netsh wlan start hostednetwork

Step6- You have done all the things and now you have to share your internet connection by right clicking network and sharing center that is on the right down side.
When you will open the network and
sharing center then you will see two
networks are there one is your
Ad Hoc Network and shows up
by your name that you use in the
step4 command and second is
your internet connection.

Step7- this is the last step that you have to do. Just click on the internet connection and going to Properties>sharing and check the option allow other users to use your internet connection.

You have finished all the things now you can access the internet by any other device that are in your wifi range so just connect your mobile, other systems and enjoy the net................

If anyone have any concerns related to do or unable to do any of the above steps then you can comment on the down side, I will try to resolve your issue.
